How to Register and Enter Items


1. Register as a consignor in the upcoming sale

Under the Seller Central page of our site, click on Seller Registration. Submit your contact information to begin your time with us at the Curriculum Closet.

Upon success of entering your registration, you will see a “success screen” similar to the one shown below:


2. Pay your registration fee

You next need to pay your $10 registration fee through PayPal. There’s a link during the registration process, or you can click the button below. Alternatively, we accept checks if you have an opportunity to meet up with one of our Curriculum Closet staff.

You can now push Continue from this screen or go to Seller Homepage to login with your unique consignor number and password.

Please note: it may take up to 48 hours for your account to be activated after payment is received. Until your account is activated, you will be able to log in but you will not be able to enter items for sale.


3. Work from your consignor homepage

Once you have logged in, you should be on the consignor homepage. The menu bar under the consignor id number shows the menu categories you can utilize as a seller:

  • Un-register for the sale-when you registered for the sale, you became active in our database system. We recommend you leave this tab active unless unforeseen circumstances permit you from submitting your items prior to the April 25th deadline.

  • Update Account Information-this information was entered in when you registered for the sale. Do make sure the details are correct, as we will use this page to communicate with sellers via email as well as mailing addresses when seller checks are ready post-sale.

  • Select a drop-off appointment- per your agreement to sell with the Curriculum Closet, you will need to select a time to bring your items for drop-off. A number of time slots will be available on April 29. Please select a slot for drop off that will allow you to be available for the entire hour. You will need that time to sort your books on the appropriate tables. NOTE: If a slot that you are looking to register is not marked OPEN, that time slot is full. 

  • Work with Consigned Inventory-Selecting this tab will take you to our Consigned Inventory Menu as shown below:

  • Add Items-this is the page for adding all your items to sell at the Curriculum Closet. Get excited!

    First, you will be prompted to select if you are entering items from a mobile or PC platform. Here is the screen from the PC platform:

There are required items to fill in before a tag is accepted. 

  1. Category- use the drop-down box to select the item category. This year there is no need to select a condition. We aim to have items that are in like new condition. If you item is an older edition, has excessive wear, or has writing on more than 10 pages, consider placing it on our free table.

  2. Size- please leave this box with a “0” in it

  3. Description Lines 1 & 2- use these lines to briefly describe the item for sale. Each line allows for 24 characters in length.

  4. Price-Enter the amount you wish to sell the item. Entering a price does not require the dollar sign symbol ($). Minimum price for each item is $2.00 and can be raised in price by 50 cent increments. There will also be a free table for items you would like to donate. They do not need to be entered in the database. If you feel an item is worth less than $2.00, please consider placing it on the free table.

  5. Check boxes- You can check these boxes if items are to be discounted in the last hours of the sale and/or donated upon completion of the sale. 

After required items are filled in, push the Submit Item for the sale item to appear in your active inventory.

  • Print Tags-This page allows you to print selected or all tags for printing. It is recommended you turn off your pop-up blocker to allow for ease of printing. 

You can choose under Tag Printing Options to print all or selected tags. Also, this tab suggests you print tags in .pdf format. This will require your computer to be equipped with a pdf reader, such as Adobe Acrobat.

Upon selecting your tags to print, you will receive a message to view the prepared tags.


A sample tag for printing will look something like this: 

  • Inventory Reports-after your items are entered into the system, you can run reports by item #, category, discount/donate status and price. Use these reports to ensure all items are entered and the information is correct (NOTE: if something is incorrect, go back to the Add Items page to either edit or delete your initial entry)

  • View Sold Items-Throughout the sale, you can check this tab to see how well your items are selling. Come back to check regularly on how your items are doing at the sale.

  • My Homepage- clicking this link will take you back to the home screen

  • Logout- this will log you out of the system. We recommend you do this each time you are finished on the Curriculum Closet consignor page.
